This video hits home at a perfect time as the end of 2009 closes on a low note. I can relate to little Lucy, plodding thru the days. A later view of Lucy is exactly what the doctor ordered, jumping over those pesky obstacles and moving on with the help of friends. Thank you Brian, Brenda Lee, Lucy and Gang!

Bethlehem in Monroe, Georgia
Welcome to the City of Monroe, incorporated in 1821, shortly after the formation of Walton County in 1818. Monroe is the county seat, and is named after the fifth President of the United States, James Monroe. This is the closest "big city" to Peters Creek Farm.
Tonight, on my way home from the farm and traveling through town, I spied a parking spot close to a babe wrapped in swaddling clothes . . .
Ah, it is a wise man to look before he steps while in a manger scene. . .
There is a town of Bethlehem, Georgia about 10 miles down the road from Monroe . . .
but Monroe has a larger population (11,000) and parking to host the blessed event.
Hark! The herald angels sing! ~ "Glory to the newborn King! Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled."
Joyful, all ye nations rise ~ Join the triumph of the skies! With th' angelic host proclaim ~ Christ is born in Bethlehem."
Hark! the herald angels sing, "Glory to the newborn King!"
